In North Carolina, one can be a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) & Bodyworker, LMBT, but to practice and provide benefits of Manual Lymphatic Drainage treatments after Oncology, orthopedic, or cosmetic surgery procedure, one needs advanced and specialized training from a LANA Recognized Schools (Lymphology Association of N. America) Program in Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Vodder Technique) Therapy. Specialists with this qualification will have CMLDT initials after their title and name. We at Wake Medical  Massage are also Certified in Advanced MLD - Management of Post Plastic Surgery Procedures.
