My Journey into Healing

For 28 years, I lived with severe back pain caused by a herniated disc (L5/S1). Doctors recommended surgery and medication, but nothing gave lasting relief—until I discovered the power of medical massage and manual therapy. This personal experience changed my life and inspired me to leave a career in IT to dedicate myself to helping others find healing through skilled touch.

Professional Training & Certifications

I am a North Carolina Board Certified & Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist and the founder of Wake Medical Massage, LLC in Cary, NC. Over the years, I have completed advanced certifications in specialized therapies, including:

Certified Manual Lymph Drainage Therapist (Vodder Technique, CMLDT) – Complete Decongestive Therapy for lymphedema, cancer care, and post-surgical recovery

Certified Russian Medical Massage Therapist – Clinical muscular therapy for chronic pain, sports recovery, and orthopedic conditions

Myofascial Release (John Barnes method) – Relief from fascial restrictions and scar tissue tightness

CranioSacral Therapy (Upledger Institute) – Gentle treatment for headaches, TMJ, and nervous system balance

Visceral Manipulation (Barral Institute) – Improving mobility and reducing tension in the body’s organs

Certified in Evaluation & Treatment of TMJ Disorder and Craniofacial Pain

Additional Training: Hand Reflexology (Thailand), Reiki, Ayurvedic practices
